AIC back the OSR Reboot campaign

It’s just over one month since Managing Director James Warner wrote an open letter to members calling for a reboot for oilseed rape following a decade of decline for the area grown in the UK.

To date the response has been very positive with plenty of growers and representatives from across the industry providing support and importantly showing a willingness to collaborate on changing the fortunes of one of the UK’s most iconic crops.

Just today the AIC have added their significant influence to the campaign with their latest update which you can read on the link below.

Speaking of the latest AIC update Managing Director James Warner comments: “As the OSR Reboot gains momentum, we’re delighted to see the AIC further advancing the conversation. There's significant work happening behind the scenes in agronomy and research, and having the industry's leading supply chain trade association, with their extensive expertise, helping to shape and influence future policy is a true game-changer.”

James continues about the OSR Reboot campaign in general: “I’ve been overwhelmed by the support and activity we’ve seen over the past four weeks. Initially surprised by the lack of a collaborative approach to the plight of OSR within the industry, it’s fair to say the tables seem to have turned for the better.”

Further activities are planned over the coming months to ensure the already excellent momentum of this important campaign continues. Keep an eye on the United Oilseeds news channels for regular updates including the latest MagicTrap network findings coming soon.
